For the end of Art II, we had to go back and redo one of our observational pieces. I chose to revisit the drawing that I had previously drawn of a blender, however this time, I wanted to collage the piece. First, I got a bunch of magazines and decided what I would make the blender and background out of. I decided that I would use wooden and outdoor elements such as stones, to create the blender itself. So I gathered pictures from different magazines, sticking with the overall vision that I had in my head. For the background, I chose to compliment the outdoorsy theme by creating the background out of
backyards, bushes, and all things green. This allowed the blender piece to stand out. In addition, I took a food magazine and even added pieces of "chopped up" food inside the blender. The dial on the blender itself I chose to make out of the face of a watch, and a spoon handle.

Overall, as I explored and contrasted the two pieces, I was extremely happy with my growth and how I had slowly learned to let go and lose myself in my art.
