This morning, I put a can of bread on a table at my church. However, I was so sad because no one even noticed my can of breadcrumbs. A lot of people simply looked at it, but they didn't interact with it like I was anticipating. However, if they had, this is what would have happened:
Within the first five minutes no one noticed the can that I strategically placed on the end of the table. However, soon a girl came cautiously up to the can. She picked the can up, and then opened the lid. Cautiously looking around her, she stuck one finger into the can and licked the crumbs. After a dissatisfying look overcame her face, she quickly put the lid on the can back on and placed it back on the table. Nothing happened for a while, but then a boy noticed the can and came closer. He took the can and opened the lid, just as the girl did. However this time, once the crumbs had been tasted, he simply shrugged his shoulders and put the lid on the can and walked away, taking the can with him. I followed him for a while, watching to see what his next move would be. Looking around to make sure no one was watching, the boy quickly removed the lid, pressed the lip of the can to his mouth and tipped the edge, allowing the breadcrumbs to fall into his mouth more easily. After the can appeared to be empty, he put the lid on the can, and discarded it in a nearby trashcan, and then continued on his day.
That is what happened to my lovely can of breadcrumbs.
