For my final project, I really wanted to do something using the idea of strawberries. I was really inspired by my previous drawing of strawberry shortcake and wanted to continue that trend. With the help of my fantastic teacher Mr. Sands, we both agreed that I should take a different approach to strawberries, and try and paint with strawberries. Previously, we had watched a video where a man had used french fry grease to paint, so this also inspired me.

Next, we brainstormed more ideas and things that had to do with strawberries. Eventually, we came up with the idea of John Lennon, because of his song, Strawberry Fields. I started out by blending the strawberries to create a paste that I used as paint. Then, with the projected image on the paper, I painted. The finished product has merit because it was interesting to myself and my classmates, and in addition the aroma of the strawberries caused the artwork to smell great, which is not something a typical painting as to offer.
